Some specific examples of research projects undertaken include:
Housing
- Research Resource undertook a total of 650 interviews with tenants
of Argyll and Bute Council in order to assess their awareness and understanding
of the Community Ownership Programme, their priorities for their new landlord,
their home and their area. A series of questions were also asked with
regard to proposed voting intentions.
- Research Resource have particular expertise in undertaking Tenant Satisfaction
Surveys on behalf of housing organisations (Housing Associations, Co-operatives
and Local Authorities), with a view to assessing resident satisfaction
with their home, the area and the services provided by their Landlord.

Business and Economic Development
- A telephone survey of 300 companies based in the Borders of Scotland
in order to identify the extent to which they are experiencing hard to
fill vacancies, and what the key issues are. In addition, a follow up
survey was undertaken with 75 of these companies in order to assess the
level of need, and interest in, support and intervention from Scottish
Enterprise Borders to assist with these difficulties.
- On behalf of LANTRA, the sectoral support agency for the land based
industries, Research Resource, on behalf of GEN Consulting, undertook
a telephone survey of 100 companies in order assess their interest in
a range of potential initiatives which would be delivered by LANTRA to
support the land based industries.

Labour Market
- A telephone survey of companies located in the South West of Glasgow
was undertaken on behalf of Glasgow University’s Training and Employment
Research Unit in order to examine labour market issues and opportunities
that face residents of the south west of Glasgow in accessing new job
opportunities along the waterfront as they emerge.
- A telephone survey of individuals who have been involved in the Foxbar
Community Renewal Project in order to find out their experience of the
project, support received and the impact that it has had, if any, on their
employment status.

Customer Satisfaction
- A customer satisfaction survey is undertaken on an ongoing basis for
a UK based, online tyre retailer. Research Resource undertake a total
of 650 telephone based customer satisfaction interviews per month with
a random sample of the company’s customers to assess satisfaction
with the company, their products and service delivery.

Community Consultation
- A total of 1,000 in street interviews were undertaken on behalf the
Scottish Executive to assess understanding of the different products and
services offered by financial services institutions and attitudes towards
Credit Unions in comparison to other financial services providers.
- A total of 500 door to door interviews were undertaken with residents
of four different areas of Paisley in which community wardens have been
introduced. The survey reviewed residents attitudes towards, and experiences
of, the wardens in the area, evaluating the impact of the warden service.

Transport
- A total of 3,000 in street interviews were undertaken with users of
Dundee town centre and its surrounding car parks. Both ‘before’
and ‘after’ studies were undertaken to assess the impact of,
and attitudes towards a series of public transport interchange improvements
throughout the city.

Education and Training
- Research Resource, working on behalf of DTZ Pieda Consulting, undertook
both quantitative and qualitative research elements of an evaluation of
Make it in Scotland. Make It In Scotland (MiiS) is Careers Scotland’s
project aimed at raising awareness of the opportunities in manufacturing
industry in Scotland for S2 school pupils. The research involved both
qualitative and quantitative consultation with S2, 3 and 4 pupils, teachers
and businesses regarding the perceptions of this project and its success.
- Evaluation of various National programmes on behalf of both Local Authorities
and LECs. These include telephone based evaluations of:
- Skillseekers
- Training for Work
- Skills for Small Business programmes
- Tourism Training Scotland.

Health
- A telephone survey of 600 small, medium and large companies was undertaken
for NHS Scotland in order to identify the range and provision of health
screening services being offered to employers across Scotland, with a
view to improving the availability and quality of health screening and
occupational health services to employers.
