Our Team Members

 

Elaine Mackinnon is a founder Director of Research Resource, establishing the company in 2004 along with Lorna Shaw.   Elaine has significant experience in the Management of large scale quantitative surveys for the public sector, particularly in Housing and Tenant Satisfaction. Outwith work, Elaine enjoys travel to the Far East and has a keen interest in sport. Elaine’s pet hate is fancy dress and novelty earrings.

 

 

LornaLorna Shaw, is a founder Director of Research Resource, establishing the company with Elaine MacKinnon in 2004.  She is an experienced consultant who has about 20 years experience in social and economic research. During that time she has developed significant experience in the management of both qualitative and quantitative social research, particularly in the public sector focusing on housing and customer satisfaction.   Lorna has a BA in Marketing and Economics from the University of Strathclyde, holds the Diploma of the Market Research Society and is a Full Member of the Market Research Society. Outside of work, Lorna is a keen runner and tries to run for charity a couple of times a year, despite the challenges of a busy work and family life.  She also dreams of going to Vegas and having her marriage blessed by an Elvis look alike in the Little White Chapel!  Lorna’s pet hate is middle lane drivers (“If I can undertake….you’re in the wrong lane!”).

 

  Rosemary Stafford, joined Research Resource in 2005 after graduating with a First Class Honours Degree in Marketing from the University of Strathclyde. Rosemary works with Lorna in all aspects of project design and delivery, including sample and questionnaire design, analysis and reporting. Rosemary also holds the Market Research Society Advanced Certificate in Market and Social Research. Rosemary is also the quality manager for the company which led to Research Resource achieving ISO:20252 accreditation, the quality standard for the market research industry. Rosemary enjoys going on holiday to new and exciting places. On a slightly less glamorous note, she has recently returned from an 18 mile hike to Britain’s most remote pub in the village of Inverie, Knoydart. Despite the midgies and the rain that glass of wine made it all worth it!
 

william_for_webWilliam Easton, Data Processing Manager, is responsible for managing our data entry processing.   He takes responsibility for quality setting up and quality checking data capture files,  ensuring that data processors are briefed on the project, that their productivity allows the completed survey questionnaires to be processed on time and on budget and that their work is verified and quality checked.  He is also responsible for cleaning data files and undertaking coding of any qualitative survey data collected.  William Easton has worked with Research Resource since 2009, starting as a data processor and then working through the ranks to undertake this managerial role with regard to data processing.  This is a role he has held since 2013.  

Outwith Research Resource William loves spending time with his family. He also is an ex-professional footballer and kids himself on that he still can play by trying  to play every Saturday with his junior football team.

 

 

ross_for_webRoss Cusick is our Operational Manager who has responsibility for ensuring that the requisite resources are available, trained and quality assured to deliver our projects on time, on budget and to standard.  Ross takes managerial responsibility of our survey researchers, ensuring that our interviewers have all materials required to undertake the project, coordinating quality control checks, ensuring interviews are achieved on target and within quota.  He is also responsible for validation and quality control.  Ross has worked with Research Resource since 2004, starting as a telephone interviewer and research administrator, then worked in a supervisory capacity for a number of years and in 2012 was promoted to the role of Operational Manager, with responsibility for the telephone and field interviewing teams

Ross has been with Research Resource since October 2004, he enjoys many types of sporting activity including football, golf, swimming and martial arts. His three sons keep him busy when he is not working. His pet hate is ironing.
